August 30th is a very busy day in our neck of the woods!
Not only is it our wedding, but a friends daughter is getting hitched the same day, it's the Labour Day weekend and it's Wharf Rat Rally in Digby....which means 20,000 bikers will descend on the valley for a week long show and shine!
So here is a little peek at our town and the fun things to do!
Jubilee Park....where the hitching will take place! You can rent canoes and kayaks and boat up the Annapolis River...which is a tidal river...yup it goes up and down with the ocean tides! There is a totally amazing Farmers Market on Tuesday for those coming a bit earlier or staying later!! The tourist information booth is also located in Jubilee Park!
We also have a gorgeous Provincial Park located on top of the North Mountain....don't laugh Westies...it has to be at least 1000 feet high....It's called Valley View and has some great camping...but no swimming or flush toilets! Just go for the view!

This is our town site with all relevant information....we have a pool, rink...maybe not during the summer :)....curling club, lawn bowling...our teams are amazing apparently!...natural playground, sport centre with gym and lots of fun local businesses!
